Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba initiated the urgent meeting with his Russian colleague Sergei Lavrov - amidst the escalation that is observed in Donbas. Kuleba himself posted that on Facebook.

It is noted that the official initiated the conversation to discuss the situation and the ways to solve it.

"Today, the illegal armed formations committed provocations in the Joint Forces Operation area, where one Ukrainian serviceman perished and one more was wounded. These are the obvious attempts to disrupt the ceasefire and to create significant obstacles for the process of peaceful regulation in general. I insist: Ukraine stands for an unconditional and irrevocable commitment to the ceasefire. The path to peace and de-occupation of our territories is a thorny one, but it begins exactly when the guns are silent", Kuleba said.
