Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba is confident that relations between Ukraine and Russia will improve, but only after several conditions are met. This was discussed in an interview with Kuleba on the air of Ukraine 24 TV channel, RBC-Ukraine reports.
“I believe that we should be optimists and believe that relations between Ukraine and Russia will normalize. I even know when this will happen. This will happen when Russia de-occupies our territories,” Kuleba stressed.
In addition, he believes that the second condition should be the visit to Ukraine of the new leader of the Russian state, who "will bow his head in front of the monument to the victims of Russia's war against Ukraine."
As an example, the Foreign Minister of Ukraine mentioned the experience of Germany and France, which were hostile to each other in Europe and have come a long way to peace.
As it was reported earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky offered his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to meet in any location of Donbas where there's a war going on.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is aware of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's idea of a meeting in Donbas.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin will definitely take place. He would like to hold in the Vatican, Jerusalem or Vienne.
Later, it was reported that Russian leader Vladimir Putin is ready for negotiations with his Ukrainian counterpart about matters of Ukraine-Russia bilateral relations.
