Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko held meeting with Marija Pejcinovic Buric, the new Secretary-General of the Council of Europe at the sidelines of 74th UNGA as Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry reported.
Prystaiko discussed the consequences of the decision, which returned Russia’s delegation to PACE with Buric. Besides, they paid attention to the ways of overcoming the crisis of confidence in PACE.
Moreover, Prystaiko noted that he expects constructive cooperation with the Council of Europe in the sphere of the provision of the analysis of the national legislation in accordance with the European norms and standards.
Earlier Vadym Prystaiko discussed Russian aggression and European integration with Georgian colleague David Zakaliani. The foreign ministers came to the agreement that for today Russia is the key threat for the security of not only Ukraine and Georgia by entire Europe.
Moreover, Foreign Minister of Denmark Jeppe Kofod expressed support of Kyiv position toward Nord Stream 2 and European integration during the meeting with Vadym Prystaiko.
