On January 10, the first president of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk marked his 85th birthday.
When the reporters ask him how he manages to stay in such good shape at this age, Kravchuk replies he 'moves all the time'.
'Well, I move. Life is about movement. I move all day, either with my body or my head. Whenever I think, I also move. I do sports and take up sessions at a gym. I walk a lot, after all, I have two dogs. I spend an hour and a half on the street in the morning, and another hour and a half in the evening', he said.
Kravchuk also said it is crucial to exclude all kinds of negativity and do not get angry. 'You should think of yourself; remember you've got a higher power over your head, which still lets you be able to think,' he said.
Leonid Kravchuk is the first leader of Ukraine who headed the state in 1991 when it gained independence from the USSR. He served in this office until 1994, succeeded by Leonid Kuchma.
