Ukraine's head of Trilateral Contact Group had a difficult heart surgery

Leonid Kravchuk, the head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) on Donbas would not be able to take part in the online meetings until November-December 2021. Interfax-Ukraine reported it with reference to speaker of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG Oleksiy Arestovich.

"As far as I know, Leonid Kravchuk is now in a difficult period of rehabilitation. The surgery was very difficult. Oleksiy Reznikov will temporarily replace him. Perhaps, until November-December," said Arestovich.

Kravchuk's health deteriorated, it became known after he missed the ceremonial meeting of the Verkhovna Rada on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Constitution Day. Then it was reported that the state of health did not allow Kravchuk to attend events and work. 

Later it became known that Kravchuk underwent heart surgery. After heart surgery, he was in remission and was connected to a ventilator.

As reported on August 28, as a result of shelling in the Avdiivka area, eight Ukrainian servicemen were wounded and received combat injuries. The convening of an extraordinary meeting of the subgroup on security is not planned, since the Ukrainian side expects a refusal from the Russian side.
