The Ukrainian Embassy in Poland decisively opposes the anti-Ukrainian slogans that were voiced out during the annual ‘Eaglets March’ in the town of Przemysl. Ambassador Andriy Deshchytsia said this as quoted by Ukrinform news agency.
‘We condemn any actions or urges for international hostilities, and we turn to Polish authorities asking them to look into this incident and punish those responsible,’ he said.
The march took place just when Kyiv and Warsaw entered the new positive level of bilateral relations; the states signed the agreement on cooperation in defense sector and restored the work of Ukraine-Poland inter-parliamentary assembly.
‘Such provocations may destroy common achievements of the two states,’ Deshchytsia said.
As 112 International reported, the annual march of Polish nationalists held in Przemysl on December 11 included chanting anti-Ukrainian slogans; activists shouted 'Death to Ukrainians!'. The Ukrainian side immediately turned to Polish authorities demanding to settle the issue.
