The delegation of Ukraine intends to continue its work in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), having abandoned the demarches, despite the approval of the Russian Federation's authority in the organization. This was stated by the head of Ukrainian delegation Yelyzaveta Yasko (Servant of the People party – 112 international.), European Pravda reports.

"We will continue to work, of course - because we have come here to uphold the values ​​of the Council of Europe. We will fight," Yasko said at a joint briefing of members of the delegation.

According to her, the Ukrainian delegation does not consider the possibility of suspension of its work in PACE. Yasko also drew attention to the importance of mentioning the organization on Crimea in the resolution, which, according to her, indicates that truth and international law are on the side of Ukraine.

As we reported earlier, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) elected delegate from Russia Petr Tolstoy as the vice president in the second tour by the majority of the votes, as the PACE informed.

“In the second tour of voting, which took place today, Mr. Tolstoy got the absolute majority of votes, notably, over half of the representatives voted. Thus, he is elected by the vice president of the Assembly,” the message said.
