From the previously published statement of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the conditions for the opening of return fire finally became clear: only upon the order of the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and only after an unsuccessful attempt at direct interaction to promptly prevent violations.

This removes the ambiguity because earlier the statement of the Ministry of Defense on compliance with the agreements to strengthen the ceasefire was distorted, and it turned out that each soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine could open fire at his discretion, which, of course, provoked intensified shelling of Donbas.

It is also clear that this implies direct interaction between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the armed formations of the ORDLO, which are responsible for the observance of the ceasefire on the ground. The world practice of conflict resolution shows that this is an effective way on the ground and the correct diplomatic way of negotiating.

Based on the reports on the results of the extraordinary meeting of the Contact Group, it is not clear how long both of these agreements will last, since it seems that the Ukrainian authorities are making attempts to annul them for the sake of political interests.
