Ukraine's Central Election Committee registers two more presidential candidates

On February 4, the Central Election Committee of Ukraine has registered two more presidential candidates. The press-service of the Central Election Committee of Ukraine reported this.

“On January 30, 2019, the citizen of Ukraine Roman Bezsmertnyi, a self-nominated presidential candidate, applied to the Committee; he also presented all the necessary documents for registering on the presidential post in Ukraine. Besides, the documents of Viktor Bondar, who had been nominated at the third stage of the VIIth Congress of the "Revival" party on January 30, 2019, were sent to the Committee on January 31. The Committee approved the documents of both candidates according to the “Law on the Presidential elections in Ukraine” and registered them as candidates in the upcoming elections”, - the report said.

As we reported earlier, the Central Election Committee of Ukraine has completed the procedure of registration of presidential candidates who will be running for the office on March 31.

89 people expressed the will to run for the presidency. 28 candidates were registered; the applications of another 22 were turned down.
