Verkhovna Rada has registered a draft resolution on the appointment of Oleh Urusky as Deputy Prime Minister for the military-industrial complex.

The corresponding resolution No. 3827 was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada by the Cabinet of Ministers.

Thus, the government has decided on a candidate for a new post (and previously it was not in the Cabinet). Let's understand what is known about the candidate.

Who is Oleg Urusky?

Oleg Urusky was born on April 13, 1963, in Chortkiv, Ternopil region. He graduated from the Kyiv Higher Military Aviation Engineering College and got a Ph.D. in Technical Sciences.

Previous jobs:

Head of Department of the National Space Agency of Ukraine (1993-1996).

Head of the Office of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (1996-2000).

First Deputy Head of the State Commission for the Defense Industry of Ukraine (2000-2003).

Head of Division at the Cabinet of Ministers Secretariat (2003-2005).

First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industrial Policy (2005).

In 2015, he headed the State Space Agency of Ukraine. Since April, he heads the engineering company Progresstech-Ukraine, which provides engineering services and develops software for leading enterprises in high-tech sectors of the economy.
