President Volodymyr Zelensky claims that Ukraine has been showing interest in joining the Three Seas Initiative. The head of the Ukrainian state said so during the briefing after the meeting with Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda.
Zelensky expressed hope that Poland, one of the initiators of this platform, would support its neighboring country.
"We discussed the Three Seas Initiative, and the key interest of Ukraine, which is to join this initiative that is crucial to us. I hope for the support of Mr. Duda, as one of the initiators of this such crucial platform for the dialogue", the Ukrainian President said.
The Three Seas Initiative is an unofficial cooperation platform for 12 countries of the Central And Eastern Europe. It’s first priority is to form the infrastructural and economic unity on the “North – South axis”.
