The Ukrainian delegation will not come to the next session on the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. Bohdan Yaremenko, the MP from the political party Servant of the People and the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on foreign policy issues and inter-parliamentary cooperation, reported that on his Facebook page.

"Having no other possibility for reaction on the violation of the own organization's principles and facing with quite enough ignoring of its interests, Ukraine is abstaining from sending of its delegation to the next PACE session," he wrote.

Earlier, Yelyzaveta Yasko, the MP from the Servant of the People political party, was appointed as the Head of the Ukrainian delegation

As it was reported, NewsOne TV channel asked the President of Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Liliane Maury Pasquier to turn attention to the situation with freedom of speech in Ukraine.

"... NewsOne TV channel considers the decision of the National Council of Television and Radio broadcasting on impose of sanctions against the station - address to the court about cancellation of license - as a threat to the freedom of speech in Ukraine, introduction of censorship and an attempt of the new government to pressure at all the Ukrainian independent mass-media," reads the message.
