Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry welcomed the new heads of OSCE institutions, who have been appointed most recently; the press service of the authority reported that on Tuesday evening.
‘Filling in vacations of OSCE leaders will keep the work of the organization effective – especially when it comes to prevention and regulation of conflicts’, the message says. The Ministry added that the newly assigned officials will let Ukraine keep the due attention of EU institutions, which is necessary in the view of Russian aggression.
Swiss diplomat Thomas Greminger became the new OSCE Secretary General; his predecessor Lamberto Zannier was appointed the new High Commissioner on National Minorities. Harlem Desir became the new OSCE Envoy for Media Freedom.
