Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba states that Kyiv and Washington took different stances when discussing the negative consequences of deployment of Nord Stream 2. The head of the Ukrainian diplomacy told this to ABC News.

"We have differences in seeing how the negative consequences of this project being implemented can be avoided or prevented," Kuleba told ABC News. "We definitely want the United States to remain vigilant and ready, ready to take action if the current policy fails", he said.

The differences in the views between Kyiv and Washington became obvious during Kuleba's last visit in Washington. During the joint press conference on Wednesday, U.S. Secretary of the State Antony Blinken refused to recognize that Russia uses energy as a weapon. At the same tim, Kuleba clearly pointed out it's already underway, as the coal supplies from Russia to Ukraine are cut, and the gas transit across Ukraine's gas transport system is decreased considerably amidst the energy crisis in the European countries.
