Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Kyiv and Washington could start a joint investigation in the case against U.S. ex-Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter. The authorities could create a joint investigation committee, Zelensky said in an interview with Kyodo.

The plan, however, can only be implemented if the U.S. prosecutors demand cooperation for holding the investigation, which is based on the international law and is in line with the Ukrainian law.

"He (Zelensky, - 112 International) explained Trump during their phone conversation in July that any investigation is possible if necessary, because Ukraine will get a new and fair Prosecutor General (Ruslan Ryaboshapka, - 112 International)", reads the message.

As is known, the scandal began after the Trump-Zelensky phone call's content was made public. This fact triggered the procedure of impeachment of the U.S. leader. During that conversation, Trump insisted that the investigation against Burisma Group gas production company where Hunter Biden worked must be continued. The U.S. Congress began to look into this case.
