Press department of the Ukrainian authoroty reported that.
The message was sgned and sent by Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Gyunduz Mamedov.
Workers of the Department for crimes committed during the armed conflict of the Office of Prosecutor General collected facts and evidence that confirm perfidious murder of Ukrainian troops during the mentioned military campaigns in 2014 and 2015.
The information message is based on the materials of criminal cases, photos and videos from open sources, as well as collected evidence.
The investigation team found out that the murders and injuries of Ukrainian military servicemen occurred amidst the humanitarian agreements between Ukraine and Russian mercenaries in Donbas. In Ilovaisk, the armed gangs of pro-Kremlin militants opened fire on Ukrainian servicemen and a Red Cross vehicle, as they were withdrawing via the "green corridor", as the sides agreed earlier. The obnoxious attack led to deaths of at least 366 Ukrainian servicemen; 429 sustained wounds of various degrees of severity, and 300 were captured. Another 24 went missing in action.
During the battle for Donetsk airport, the Russian mercenaries agreed on a ceasefire, as the Ukrainian side asked for some time to evacuate the killed and wounded fighters from the battlefield. Instead, the enemy used this time to wire the aiport; when the ceasefire was over, the militants blew up the building. 25 Ukrainian servicemen deceased, 22 were captured, and one captive fighter was killed.
Perfidious murder during armed conflict breaches the Geneva Convention of 1949; it forbids perfidious killing, wounding or capturing of an adversary.
