Ukraine's Interior Minister Arsen Avakov and UAE's Deputy Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of the National Security Ali Mohammed Hammad Al Shamsi discussed bilateral cooperation. The meeting of Avakov and Al-Shamsi took part within the visit of Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelensky to the UAE. The press office of Ukraine's Interior Ministry reported that on February 15.

"I believe it's necessary to deepen cooperation between migration authorities of our countries in the area of combating illegal migration, human trafficking, issuance and procession of documents, and personal data protection. I offer to develop and sign the respective document", Arsen Avakov said.

Apart from that, the officials agreed that counteraction against terrorist and extremist organizations should be among the top directions of cooperation.

Avakov told Al Shamsi about the current challenges in fighting cybercrimes and hybrid threats that Ukraine faced during the Russian armed aggression.

On February 14-15, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is on a state visit to the UAE.
