Ukraine to strengthen security of Russian diplomatic institutions on presidential election

The security of the Russian diplomatic institutions will be strengthened in Ukraine on the day of the election of the president of Russia. The Communication Department of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine reported this to UNN.

‘We will act in accordance with a law. Of course, the security will be strengthened’, the message said.

The Interior Ministry added that the total number of the personnel attracted to the security is not defined yet.

The diplomatic representative offices are situated in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa and Lviv.

Earlier the representatives of the nationalist parties such as Svoboda, Right Sector and National Corps promised to block Russian presidential elections in Ukraine on March 18, 2018. Political parties intend to block polling stations and form ‘corridor of shame’ for voters – Russian citizens.

The election of the president of Russia will take place on March 18, 2018. The Central Election Commission registered eight candidates, including Vladimir Putin, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, Ksenia Sobchak and Grigory Yavlinsky.
