Ukraine to reinforce security at Transnistria border

Ukraine will reinforce security at the Transnistria border. It was reported by the First Deputy Internal Minister Serhy Yarovy during the meeting with delegation of Kyiv Association of Military Attaches and military attaches of more than 30 foreign states, reports Department of Communication of  Ukraine’s Internal Ministry.

 “Government decided to extend the plan to strengthen the border at Transnistria. State Border Service already pays much attention to this region. Earlier, a division of the National Guard was stationed there, we plan to deploy units of the National Police. We will certainly build up strength there,” Yarovy said.

The completion of construction of Kharkiv part of the border within the framework of ‘Russia–Ukraine barrier’ program is being completed, works start in Sumy and Luhansk regions.

As it was reported earlier Ukraine’s Security Service intensifies defense on Russian border. "We must strengthen counterintelligence regime on border with Russian aggressors", Chairman of SBU Hrytsak.
