The total sum of financial assistance that Ukraine is expected to receive from the United States in 2020 amounts to 698 million dollars. This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, Volodymyr Yelchenko, Ukrinform reports.
"Yes, in 2020, total US financial assistance will amount to 698 million dollars," the ambassador said.
He said that the Pentagon would provide 250 million dollars. U.S. Department of State is expected to allocate 448 million dollars of economic assistance, 115 million dollars of which will go to security. Another 50 million dollars will be allocated under certain conditions.
According to Yelchenko, military assistance is expected to begin arriving in February.
