On February 24, Ukraine launched a campaign to vaccinate the population against Covid-19 with the Indian CoviShield. To date, 1,338 people have been vaccinated in the country. Most of the vaccinations were made in the Cherkasy region. Now immunization is carried out exclusively for the priority group of the population - doctors and medical workers.

Despite the fact that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that CoviShield is "one of the best vaccines", most of the doctors at the Oleksandrivska Hospital in Kyiv, who work with Covid patients, refused to be vaccinated with the Indian drug.
