Ukraine's Interior Minister Arsen Avakov

Ukraine's Interior Minister Arsen Avakov claimed that the Ukrainian state would be harshly prosecuting the Nazis and extremists who threaten Ukrainian citizens, while being disguised as patriots. The press office of Interior Ministry reported that on December 1.

"Provocateurs who threaten Ukrainians of Hungarian descent are enemies of the state. We'll pay every effort to expose and punish them", he said.

The official stated Ukraine would "protect its citizens from extremists - even if provocation was set by the special services of hostile country".

Earlier, a video appeared on the Web; a man wearing the mask with red and black banner (the widely known symbol of Ukrainian nationalists, - 112 International) and symbols of the Right Sector organization threatened Hungarian Ukrainians and their children. The police opened criminal proceeding on that fact.
