The Ukrainian government's program foresees an ambitious goal. In five years. the country is supposed to meet the EU membership requirements. Oleksiy Honcharuk, Prime Minister of Ukraine posted that on Telegram

The head of the Cabinet believes it is important to synchronize policies with those of EU member countries, specifically within the European Green Deal.

"Why the Green Deal matter? It is actually about completely simple casual things. It is about people breathing clean non-polluted air, using clean drinking water, and eat safe foods. The EU's ambitious goal is to make Europe the first continent whose economy does not harm nature. Ukraine is ready to become an integer part of this story of success. Today, I offered Franz Timmermans, the Vice President of the European Commission for the European Green Deal issues to start the dialogue on the development of joint roadmap in this direction", Honcharuk said.
