Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Dmytro Kuleba has promised that Ukraine will reach NATO membership criteria in 5 years. The official said this during a joint briefing with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Odesa, Ukrinform reports.

"Ukraine has made its choice - it is NATO’s membership. The Alliance also made its choice in 2008, at the Bucharest summit when it decided that Ukraine would become a NATO member. We assume that this decision will be implemented. The government I represent, is the first government to clearly set out in its agenda the goal of achieving compliance with the criteria for membership in the Alliance in five years," Kuleba said.

He drew attention to various public opinions’ assessments that indicate an increase in support for Euro-Atlantic integration among Ukraine's population.

Kuleba is convinced that this is not just a reaction of Ukrainians to Russia's aggression, but a conscious decision.

As we reported earlier, during his visit to OdesaNATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg promised Alliance's support for Ukraine in organizing military command, logistics, and cyber security. This was reported by the Alliance's press service.

"We will help you with command and control, cyber security and logistics. Allies are supporting Odesa Naval Academy in enhancing and improving the quality of naval education," Stoltenberg said at a meeting with Vice Prime Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
