Ukraine to calculate compensation for damage that Russia has to pay, - Zerkal

Ukraine will announce the sum of compensation that Russia would have to pay it after the UN International Court announces its verdict in this case. Olena Zerkal, Ukraine's deputy foreign minister for European integration said so at a briefing.

"The calculation of damage is being finalized when the facts of violations are defined. Based in the set violations, the party that suffered the damage - in this case, it's Ukraine, - should provide the calculation of the kind of compensation it demands due to these infringements", Zerkal said.

According to her, Ukraine will be only able to file the calculation after the court assigns another round where the sides are to develop the compensation procedure.

The overall sum of the damage has not been yet calculated; the work is in progress.
