Chief Sanitary Doctor Viktor Lyashko stated that Ukraine would begin to return to normal life only in the spring of 2021, Ukraine 24 TV channel reports.

"I have such forecasts, I have a feeling that we will start out a step-by-step return to our usual rhythm of life from April (2021 – 112 International). We will not completely get rid of anti-epidemic restrictions and such harsh quarantines that we are mentioning at this point," he said.

Also, according to Lyashko, new strains of coronavirus are likely to appear in Ukraine.

As we reported earlier, according to Head of U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Anthony Fauci, the darkest days of the coronavirus pandemic are still ahead.

"We are very likely to see the after-holiday outbreak, I mean after Christmas and New Year. With 120,000 people hospitalized daily, we are actually in the critical phase now," stated the official.

Speaking on the possible appearance of collective immunity against coronavirus, Fauci assumed it could emerge next summer.
