The Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Chernyshov and the Ambassador of Sweden to Ukraine Tobias Thyberg have agreed to cooperate in the field of regional policy. Chernyshov announced this on his Facebook page.
"Today, at a meeting with Swedish Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine Tobias Thyberg, we agreed to continue our effective cooperation in the development of the network of Administrative Service Centers in Ukraine and other types of decentralization. We also agreed to initiate cooperation in regional policy," the minister said.
According to him, Sweden is one of the countries that has supported decentralization reform in Ukraine since the first day of its beginning. In the period from 2018 to 2021, Sweden provided Ukraine with 200 million Swedish kronor (23,7 million dollars) in the framework of international technical assistance projects.
As we reported earlier, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed the readiness of the new US administration to develop economic and military support for Ukraine.
