Dmytro Kuleba, the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to European Council supposed that there is a conspiracy of the elites at the PACE and EU Council on the return of Russia to these organizations as Segodnya reported.
'You get the impression that there is a conspiracy of the elites at the PACE and EU Council towards the unconditional return of Russia. In other words, there is some particular number of people belonging to the governing bodies of the EU Council and PACE who agreed to coordinate their efforts and will attempt to return Russia. Actually, there is nothing to wonder. Partially, we observe the same story in previous years when we and our partners successfully repulsed such attempts', Kuleba claimed.
According to him, the Ad Hoc Committee was created at the PACE that began the format with the help of which the conditions to return Russia will be created in 2018.
'The key aim is hidden under such high purpose and it is the creation of the normative conditions to return Russians or in other words, the fulfillment of all demands of Russia towards the elimination of the possibility to impose the sanctions against the national delegations. Russia says: 'We will return when you remove the possibility of the sanctions and it will be impossible to impose them'. In such case, Russia will feel protected: it will do anything it wants to and will not bear any responsibility', Kuleba claimed.
As we reported the Ad Hoc Committee of PACE hosted the first session on January 23, where MPs discussed changing rules and procedures of the Assembly. Russian delegates were also spotted there – in spite the fact that Russia left the Assembly. Besides, the session was held behind the closed doors.
