The Ukrainian government should seek reparations from Russia for the destruction that the Russian army and its mercenaries caused in eastern Ukraine. Infrastructure Minister Vladyslav Krykliy said so during the evening show at 1+1 TV channel.

"So far, we cannot be talking about restoring the controlled area of Donbas region. As for whether Ukrainian would be paying for it - for the non-controlled territory - of course not. It's impossible a priori", he said.

According to him, the Cabinet intends to restore only the Ukraine-controlled territories of Donbas - at least for the time being. The restoration of occupied territories is only possible after Russia pays reparations to Ukraine and releases these areas, the minister insisted.

Krykliy also announced the opening of Chongar and Kalanchak, the new checkpoints on the administrative border with the occupied Crimea.
