Ukraine sees no due reaction from Iran on investigation of PS752 crash

Ukrainian side does not see the due reaction from Iran to the investigation of Boeing 737 crash near Teheran as Interfax-Ukraine reported citing Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Ryaboshapka.

“We requested information, which is necessary for the investigation, asked for the questioning of the particular number of people, on receiving of particular physical evidence, including the debris of the plane. But we have not received the answers for all these question, we do not see the reaction from the Iranian authorities, which we would like to see,” Ryaboshapka said.

Besides, it is noted that the issue of the creation of the international investigation group is not solved yet, despite the fact that the Ukrainian side discussed it with the international partners.

The draft agreement is prepared and passed to the embassies of a few countries. The prosecutor general expects that the result will be provided within a week or two. In another case, Ukraine will file the requests on the international legal assistance and it will delay the process of the receiving of information.

January 8, Boeing 737 of Ukraine's International Airlines, flight PS752 with 176 passengers aboard crashed in Tehran, not far from Imam Khomeini airport.

11 citizens of Ukraine died in the crash of Boeing 737 of Ukraine's International Airlines (PS 752 flight). President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that the passenger plane crash in the Iranian capital left no survivors.

On January 19, the bodies of the Ukrainians, who died in a plane crash in Iran, were delivered to Ukraine. The farewell ceremony took place at Boryspil Airport from 13.00 to 19.00.

As of January 21, Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization stated in the second preliminary investigation report that PS752 was downed by two short-range surface-to-air missiles.
