Ukraine intends to agree with Saudi Arabia on the liberalization of the visa regime and cooperation in the defense sphere. President Petro Poroshenko reported this during his visit to Saudi Arabia as 112 Ukraine reported.

‘I knew with amazement that the visa to Saudi Arabia is the most expensive for the Ukrainians and the visa to Ukraine is the most expensive for the Saudi. The king and I agreed that we definitely reduce the rates of the payments and fee for the visa and move to simplify the possibilities for the businessmen, enterprisers, tourist and make the Saudi open fantastic Ukraine and the Ukrainians be possible to travel to Saudi Arabia’, the president added.

Poroshenko noted that the agreement with one of the Ukrainian information agency is already signed and ‘the Saudi will be able getting direct information from the Ukrainian information agency and we will have the access to the information provided by the Saudi information agency’.

‘I do not exclude that the further steps will be made, including the correspondent point of ‘Al Arabiya’ channel in Kyiv and the building of the Islamic cultural center that is very interesting for our country-partner Saudi Arabia’, the president added.

Poroshenko also added that at the moment ‘we (Saudi Arabia and Ukraine) almost finished the negotiation and are ready to sign the agreement on the cooperation in the defense sphere, military and technical cooperation and both, Ukraine and Saudi Arabia are fully satisfied with the implementation of this agreement’.

‘I can emphasize that we show the biggest progress from the point of view of the cooperation in the aircraft industry sphere and our plane ‘Antonov-132’ is in Saudi Arabia and we will get the development not of the experimental plane but plane of the batch production and we think about the broadening of the planes line that will be produced in Saudi Arabia at the first stage and within the industrial cooperation in the future’, Poroshenko added.

Earlier Poroshenko offered the Saudi companies to participate in the privatization in Ukraine.
