Ukrainian Defense Minister Andriy Taran and Romanian National Defense Minister Nicolae Ciucă signed an agreement on cooperation in the military-technical sphere. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Embassy in Romania.
"On September 5, 2020, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Taran, within the framework of his visit to Bucharest, and the Minister of National Defense of Romania, Nicolae Ciucă, signed an agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Romania on cooperation in the military-technical sphere," the message says.
The ministry noted that the intergovernmental agreement defines the legal basis for military-technical cooperation between the two countries. Also, the document simplifies the procedure for the implementation of public procurement in the relevant area.
In addition, the agreement expands the partnership between Ukraine and Romania aimed at strengthening security in the Black Sea region.
Earlier Andrei Taran announced the creation of the Department of International Defense Cooperation of the Ministry of Defense.
