Ukraine ready to open Antonov Centre in Malta

The Ukrainian side is ready to open Antonov company centre in Malta. President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that during his meeting with his counterpart Maria-Louise Coleiro Preca on Tuesday.

According to Ukrainian leader, Malta could become a hub for Ukrainian agrarians, instrumental for supplying Ukrainian products to the North Africa and thus opening new opportunities for Ukraine’s metallurgy. Opening Antonov company centre in Malta would be an impetus for development of Ukraine’s aircraft building industry, Poroshenko said.

The two sides signed a lot of documents, aimed at developing cooperation in sport and business.

Maria- Louise Coleiro Preca added that the business circles of the two countries talked through particular deals concerning infrastructure development and maritime shipments.

The Ukrainian leader stays on Malta with a visit until tomorrow, May 17.
