Ukraine ready to assist Lebanon amid explosion in Beirut, - PM

Lebanon is now facing thousands of victims and billions of dollars in financial losses due to the explosion in Beirut, which shocked the whole world community.  That is why Ukraine has showcased its readiness to support Lebanon in any way possible. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal at a session of the government.

"Our condolences and words of support to all the Lebanese people. I ask the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to keep the public informed about the situation regarding Ukrainian citizens. If there is a need, we are ready to provide all the necessary assistance. Ukraine has already addressed the Lebanese Republic with proposals to provide necessary help and our rescuers - the corresponding unit is ready to take off at any moment when it is necessary," Shmygal told.

According to him, a government meeting is underway in Lebanon and they will decide what help they might need.

As we reported earlier, the death toll from a powerful blast in Beirut, Lebanon, has risen to 100, nearly four thousand people are injured.
