At the upcoming summit in Brussels, the Ukrainian side will raise the issues of sanctions against Russia, as well as Ukraine’s access to European markets and the development of a coronavirus vaccine. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky told about this in an interview with Politico Europe.
"Informally: sanctions are a top priority issue. The EU's support for our sovereignty and territorial integrity depends on a tough sanctions policy against the aggression of the Russian Federation," the Ukrainian leader stated.
According to him, Ukraine's participation in the development of a coronavirus vaccine will also be discussed.
"I want to tell the EU countries that, unfortunately, we do not have a vaccine yet, but we want to get one, we are prepared in terms of vaccine production. We have companies that are ready to help when we are presented with the vaccine. We are ready to assist EU countries in mass production of vaccines," Zelensky said.
As we reported earlier, European Council President Charles Michel intends to ask Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky about the current state of rule of law in Ukraine during tete-a-tete talks at the upcoming EU summit.
