Ukraine and Kuwait have agreed on bilateral simplification of the visa regime. This was said during the meeting of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the Emir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the press service of the Ukrainian president reports.
"An agreement was reached on simplifying the visa regime on the basis of reciprocity and including Ukraine in the list of countries for which citizens visas will be issued at the international airport of Kuwait or electronically. This step should help to increase business contacts and open additional opportunities for national tourism industries," the report said.
It is noted that during the meeting the sides also discussed the possibilities for closer cooperation between the two countries within the framework of international organizations and support of Kuwait's foreign policy initiatives of Ukraine.
"Yeads of states also talked about the prospects for cooperation within the framework of the non-permanent membership of Kuwait in the UN Security Council in 2018-2019, in particular on the issue of the UN peacekeeping mission in the occupied part of Donbas, and Ukraine's membership in the UN Human Rights Council in 2018-2020", noted the press service of Poroshenko.
We recall, on March 18, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is on an official visit to Kuwait. It was planned that during the visit Poroshenko will meet with the emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Kuwaiti Prime Minister Jaber Al-Mubarak Al Hamad Al-Sabah, Chairman of the National Assembly of Kuwait, Marzouk Ali Muhammad Al-Ghanim, Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
Also, the Ukrainian president will meet with the managers of leading investment funds in Kuwait.
