The Ukrainian side of Minsk Trilateral Group will be promoting the creation of a new work subdivision; it will be aiming to discuss opportunities to restore the control over the Ukrainian border in Donetsk and Luhansk region. Daryna Olifer, the press secretary of Leonid Kuchma, Ukraine's envoy in Minsk group said that after the session of the group in the Belarusian capital on Thursday.
'Ukraine expects adequate discussion of the issue in the group', she posted on Facebook.
Olifer marked that the security of Minsk agreement remains Ukraine's priority in this group in the current year. "Our No.1 objective is to make sure that the ceasefire is comprehensive and stable. Ukraine will keep on demanding to withdraw the foreign armed units from Donbas,' Olifer wrote.
Earlier on Thursday, Ukraine, Russia and the OSCE held this year's first session of Minsk talks group.
