Ukraine is ready to launch coronavirus vaccination certificates from July 1 this year. This was announced by the chief sanitary doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko in a commentary to journalists, reports RBC-Ukraine.
According to Lyashko, today Ukraine is taking part in two working groups on the implementation of such certificates.
"Ukraine is taking part in two working groups on the introduction of covid certificates. One is from WHO, the second is from the EU, which offers certain privileges for vaccinated persons or people with immunity under quarantine restrictions. That is, attending concerts, cinemas, shopping centers, and so on, "he said.
Lyashko said that all data on vaccinations are entered into the electronic health care system. At the same time, a group of specialists from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Digital Science is working, which cooperates with the WHO and the EU and develops technical issues that will be introduced in Ukraine immediately after the introduction in the European Union.
Lyashko also added that the EU and Israel said they would recognize vaccinations with all vaccines that have permission from WHO. As for the Sinovac vaccine, it is awaiting permission.
“We are monitoring this. We expected that this permission would be already signed at the end of April, then in early May. In early May, only Sinopharm was approved. We are still waiting for Sinovac, just technically this check usually takes time, "said the medical doctor.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal said that the European Union should provide Ukraine with a vaccination passport model in June.
