The Ministry of Health of Ukraine intends to start vaccinating residents of uncontrolled areas during the third stage of immunization - approximately in April 2021. This was announced by the country's Chief Sanitary Doctor Viktor Lyashko during the forum "Ukraine 30. Coronavirus: Challenges and Responses".
Residents of the occupied territories will be able to get vaccinated at vaccination points in the territory controlled by Ukraine.
"They will have the same registration procedure as all other Ukrainians - through an online portal," Lyashko said.
It was also noted that the residents of uncontrolled areas would not be vaccinated with the mRNA vaccine (Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna) due to logistics difficulties.
As we reported earlier, Healthcare Minister Maksym Stepanov stated that Ukraine was going to ease quarantine restrictions in the foreseeable future.
"We have already developed a normative act that will regulate quarantine restrictions in Ukraine. The quarantine is planned to be extended until April 30. The restrictions are planned to be eased," stated the official.
