Ukraine passed the chairmanship at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PA BSEC) to Albania. Andry Paruby, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine claimed this as 112 Ukraine broadcasted.

‘Today I symbolically pass the chairmanship at the PA BSEC to my honored colleague of the Albanian parliament that could not participate in our meeting due to the external reasons. I wish him success in the implementation of all goals and tasks that we face’, Paruby said.

He expressed the hope that the PA BSEC will continue to be an example of the observation of the norms and principles of the inter-parliament and international law and thanked for the cooperation and fruitful work that aims for the prosperity of the countries of the Black Sea region.

According to the regulation of the organization, Ukraine got the chairmanship at the PA BSEC on July 6, 2017, for six months.

The 50th session of the General Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) takes place in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on November 28-30 under the chairmanship of Lyudmyla Denisova, the Head of Permanent Delegation in PABSEC.
