‘There actually is such a plan; it exists. It’s our aim, after all – to restore control over the border. Currently, almost 410 km of the state border is out of our control,’ said Viktor Nazarenko, the Head of Ukraine’s State Border Guard. According to the official, the idea to develop such a plan belongs to President Petro Poroshenko. It includes bringing the OSCE police mission (at the initial stage of the plan) and the gradual restoration of control over the Ukrainian border, which should be based on Minsk agreements.
Nazarenko expressed hope that the Minsk process will speed up restoration of Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
