The information about the possible restoration of water supplies to the annexed Crimea is a fake. Anton Korinevych, the Permanent representative of Ukraine's President in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea posted that on Facebook.
"Due to the appearance of more speculations on possible restoring of water supplies to Crimea (...), we're claiming this information contradicts the actual state of affairs", he wrote.
Korinevych asked the media to avoid manipulations regarding the issue.
At that, he added that Ukraine's parliamentary committee for human rights is to visit the Kherson region to settle the issues of occupied territories of Crimea and Sevastopol. The mission also plans to visit Kalanchak checkpoint, on the administrative border with Crimea.
"No one says anything of restoring the water supplies, the water from [North Crimean] channel will reach Crimea only after de-occupation. No water before de-occupation. The Committee's away session has nothing to do with the water supplies, but aims to find out the situation on teh administrative borders with the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea", he said.
