The Ukrainian side will not be responding to Donald Trump's statement about Crimea being 'part of Russia', which he voiced out during the G7 summit. Maryana Betsa, the spokesperson of Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said this in her commentary for the Ukrainian media in Kyiv on Friday.

'We will not react. We never do when it comes to rumors. As far as I know, the White House did not respond, saying they did not have such kind of information', Betsa said.

Earlier, U.S. leader Donald Trump called Crimea 'part of Russia', because 'everyone speaks Russian there'. BuzzFeed News reported that with reference to their own sources. According to the outlet, Trump said this at the dinner, which took place after the official part of the G7 summit. Alberto Nardelli, the European editor of the outlet confirmed that on Twitter.

Trump also asked the G7 leaders why would they support Ukraine, since it was 'one of the most corrupt countries of the world', he said.

Previously, Trump said he upheld Russia's return to G8, while the G7 leaders opposed the idea.

Earlier U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May said that Russia would not be invited to return to the G7 countries until it stops interfering in the affairs of other countries.

As it was reported, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko thanked the leaders of the G-7 countries for their support of Ukraine. According to him, the results of the summit confirmed that Ukraine is "among the key priorities of the free world."
