Ukraine is not going to buy the Russian vaccine against Covid-19 because it has not passed the third stage of clinical trials. This was announced by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov on the air of Ukraine 24 TV channel.

"There is no evidence that this vaccine has passed all phases of clinical trials, especially the third one. We know that there are many vaccine manufacturers in the world that are just in the final stages of clinical trials. That is why there is not even a subject for discussion,” Stepanov stated.

The official is convinced that Ukraine must produce its own Covid-19 vaccine.

As we reported earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine was ready to assist the European Union with the production of the Covid-19 vaccine.

"I want to tell the EU countries that, unfortunately, we do not have a vaccine yet, but we want to get one, we are prepared in terms of vaccine production. We have companies that are ready to help when we are presented with the vaccine. We are ready to assist EU countries in mass production of vaccines," he said.
