Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language Taras Kremin thinks that Ukraine must declare 2021 the year of the Ukrainian language. He said this in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

"I think that the state must declare 2021 the year of the Ukrainian language and approve the state program as soon as possible (on promoting the acquisition of the state language, - 112 International) because it is not a matter of education or science. These are issues of national security at the humanitarian level, state language policy, intellectual capitalization of society,” the official stated.
