Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba talked with newly-appointed Foreign Minister of Moldova Aureliu Ciocoi. During the talks, the ministers confirmed the intention to deepen the Ukrainian-Moldovan relations, as the ministry reported.
“The parties confirmed the intention to deepen the Ukrainian-Moldovan relations, particularly, to solve the issue of concern gathered in previous years,” the message said.
It is specified that the ministers confirmed the mutual support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and Moldova in the internationally recognized borders.
Besides, Kuleba congratulated Ciocoi on the appointment at the post of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova.
As we reported, the presidential election took place in Moldova on November 1. According to results of exit polls conducted on the Watchdog's orders, there will be a second round; current head of the state Igor Dodon will face Maia Sandu, the ex-Prime Minister. The second tour of the presidential election will take place on November 15.
