Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that Ukraine was supporting the European Union's approach regarding Belarus and did not rule out the possibility that it would join the EU sanctions. This was announced by the official during a briefing.
"We have not seen EU sanctions yet, but we support its (EU's - 112 International.) approach. We will draw our own conclusions when we see these sanctions," Kuleba said.
In addition, it should be noted that the minister did not provide an answer to the journalist's question of whether Ukraine recognizes the presidential election in Belarus.
"It has already turned into a kind of fetish. The election results were announced by the Central Election Commission of Belarus. Nevertheless, the election results had significant shortcomings and do not meet the standards in this area," he added.
As we reported earlier, Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba believes that any external interference in the situation in Belarus is unacceptable.
“I want to underline that the Foreign Ministry considers it is unacceptable to hold any external interference in the situation in Belarus, solution of that deep political crisis that overtook the country. First of all, the issue is about the interference of Russia, the Collective Security Treaty Organization, where Russia plays the leading part,” the minister said.
