Ukraine has an opportunity to gain accelerated access to the Covid-19 vaccine. The profile parliamentary committee recommended the Verkhovna Rada to support bill № 4314 "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning the Prevention of Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19)". It will allow reducing the period of approval of clinical trials and registration of vaccines and drugs against coronavirus infection. This was reported by the Servant of the People political party on its Facebook page.
"Vaccination of a large number of patients will help reduce the burden on the health care system of Ukraine," the statement said.
The Committee noted that the adoption of the draft law would facilitate the involvement of relevant international clinical trials in Ukraine. This, in turn, will allow reducing the burden on Ukraine's health care system by vaccinating a significant number of patients as part of clinical trials.
As we reported earlier, Health Minister Maksym Stepanov is convinced that Ukraine needs a three-week lockdown.
