Ukraine lost the time for negotiations on the gas transit from Russia. Viktor Medvedchuk, the Chairman of Political Council of Opposition Platform - For Life party said this during the working visit to the Zakarpattia region, westernmost Ukraine.

"There's no way we could be discussing the new contract on the transit; there's too little time, as the final signature of this deal should take place December 13, when the gas supply appeals are being filed to the European operators. One can't do anything until December 13; one could extend the acting deal for another year. But it's the option that doesn't suit Ukraine", he said.
