The Finance Ministries of Lithuania and Ukraine agreed on the creation of the Coordination Committee for the implementation of the reform of the Ukrainian State Fiscal Service and creation of the Financial Investigations Service on February 19 as the press service of the Ukrainian Financial Ministry reported.
‘The representatives of the Finance Ministries of Lithuania and Ukraine who form the policy in the proper spheres will enter the membership of the Committee. At the suggestion of the Lithuanian side, the Ukrainian Finance Minister will head the Coordination Committee to coordinate the cooperation with the EU within the mentioned reforms’, the message said.
It is noted that the service will be created within the EU program on the support of the implementation of State Finances Management Strategy and it should be the only body for the fight against the financial crimes against the state.
Earlier the representatives of Ukraine and Lithuania signed the number of the documents on the bilateral cooperation, particularly the protocol of the 10th session of the Council of the Presidents, a Memorandum of Understanding between Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine and the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania and the Agreement on Cooperation between the State Migration Service of Ukraine and the Migration Department of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania in the presence of leaders Petro Poroshenko and Dalia Grybauskaite.
